From Exodus 20:1-17
10 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.
This is a very evil thing, to covet! This is one of the most used tools of the devil against you. How many times have you used the Lords word “love” to express a desire for something other than your spouse or another person? We wind up with so many things becaue we “love it”, want it, desire it and it all comes from what we see others having or done, or acquired. Women covet another womans beauty, men covet another mans woman, house, car, money, status… the list is a mile long folks and it has entered into the spirit of all of us at one time or another. My advice, put it all behind you and forget these things, focus on God and your relationship with him daily. Come to Jesus, let him be your desire and not all this junk we have put so much emphasis on.
